WHY US?

Lighting as Architecture

Since 1998, our philosophy of keeping the focus on the architectural details, furnishings and finishes of the project has resulted in beautiful sites, spaces and buildings where the architectural design is front and center.  Lighting is integrated rather than applied - subtle rather than obvious.

Collaboration

Each project approach is participatory and interactive.  A partnership with the architect and other members of the Design Team is vital to the success of the lighting design and moreover, the project.  We take pride in always being available and accessible to Team members, owners and end users.

The Architecture Connection

We see the lighting needs of your project though the lens of our Architecture training. We practice our values in collaboration with your team to execute your vision and make your project an experience.

Insider Knowledge

It’s a well-known fact that the lighting industry has many layers and players which can affect final costs. Our experience in navigating the mechanics of procurement and distribution systems assist our clients to fulfill the project’s design intent. This often requires a creative and strategic approach to the specification process.

Our Values

Innovation.

Creative collaboration is the source for our innovation process. We believe that the best projects result from a strong team dynamic united behind common goals in support of a clear project vision.

Integrity.

A big word in today’s world. Yet one that is at the core of who we are and what we strive to do in our life and our work. Integrity: the state of being whole and undivided and the quality of being honest and moral.

Inspiration.

Balancing the world of artistry and architecture with the world of engineering and technology is how excellent lighting design is achieved. This balance is what inspires and intrigues us daily.

“I always find that Suzanne adds great value to projects by providing options that meet design goals while still being able to satisfy budget and municipal requirements.  She has a way of taking conflicting interests, and addresses them with sophisticated and responsible solutions.”
